Maroon 5 (and how we escaped Mingenew!)

Maroon 5 aren't that popular in Australia, at all. So Nic and I decided to use this to our advantage and we managed to get some tickets for their concert in Perth 2 weeks before the show! We managed to get the same day off work which was incredible, but we had to use the excuse that it was 'Nic's birthday and her mum bought us the tickets', and that tugged at evil Lyn's heartstrings. We escaped the pub pretty early on a Friday morning and got in our sexy beast and drove down to Perth. 4 hours later and we were at our hostel, enjoying the treats that we miss in Mingenew... McDonalds, people that aren't farmers, and general civilisation! We had a few drinks and before long it was time to go...so we stupidly thought of catching a bus, which meant we had to walk half way there until we actually got on one...and then we eventually made it to Burswood Dome, which is probably the worst stadium I have ever seen, all concrete and should have been torn down by now. By the time we hunted down the drinks area (all 1m squared of it) One Republic, the supporting act were on and we just had to listen while we queued! We both sung our hearts out to 'Apologise' so I think that was good enough. By the time Maroon 5 were on we had had our fill of overpriced bubbly and we were standing and dancing and singing away to Adam Levine! It was ssssssssssso good, they played all the old songs as well as some of the new ones. The only problem was that we were the only people dancing, in fact, the only people standing. It was a bit like a school disco to be honest, but that didn't stop us from singing until our throats were raw!
